I had a really great time with my friends at this spot! The theme of the bar was really nostalgic especially if you're a part of any nerdy fandom. It was really easy to order through the QR code on the tables, especially because you don't need to split the bill as you can just order on your own phones. The food and drinks we ordered came out super quick too. It's worth it to come before the crowd so you can grab a booth. I will def want to come back again!

I'd heard good things about this bar, so my friend and I decided to check it out while walking down Hollywood. Unfortunately, our experience with the bouncer almost made us leave before even going inside. We were carded by an older guy with long wavy black hair, glasses, and a tall build. We walked up with big smiles and said hello, asking how he was doing. He just stared at us blankly and said "IDs" in a really off-putting tone. It wasn't a great start and made us wonder if the rest of the place would be the same. We decided to stay and called a friend to meet us. While my friend was on the phone, the bouncer impatiently asked, "Are you going in or not?" We told him we were just making a quick call, then we headed inside. His aggressive attitude had already soured our mood, but thankfully, the rest of the staff inside were super nice, and we ended up having a good time. Overall, we enjoyed the bar and would consider going back, but if we see that same bouncer again, we'd probably go somewhere else. Bars are meant for having fun, not dealing with unnecessary stress and rude doormen. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously because a friendlier greeting would make a huge difference. Especially since it's the first interaction you experience at their establishment. Decor was super cool, bartenders friendly, and drinks unique!

The themed experience here is really cool if you're into nerd/fandom things, it's a place I've recommended to friends before and always have a good experience inside! The bartenders are fun, drinks are fun, service is super friendly. That being said, last night my friends and I brought to the attention of staff that the bouncer is extremely hostile. (Larger white guy, long black hair, glasses) Every one of my friends had a negative experience with him. After reading some other reviews I see this has been brought up before, and staff last night confirmed he has a reputation. I thanked them for validating our experience and letting us know they're aware of him being a problem. The confrontation involved a friend not being able to get in because she had photo proof of ID, but her wallet is currently lost/stolen. I want to clarify as I did last night in person that my complaint isn't about his strict ID-checking process, as I understand there's a broader policy on that (regardless of it being very frustrating in the moment, and in my personal opinion, WAY over the top) The issue is this bouncer's hostile interactions being extremely out of line. he continued to harass us as we waited with my friend for her Uber because she was still "on the premises". (we weren't going to leave her til her ride got there) Being this has become a favorite spot of mine, and the niche crowd that it attracts is a special, fun experience compared to the average Hollywood bar, I would LOVE to keep bringing people here. I won't give a good place a bad review out of spite, but I strongly suggest finding a new bouncer that's conducive to the vibe this bar is trying to bring, that makes customers, especially WOMEN feel safe coming in - not threatened, verbally harassed, uncomfortable. This place has so much potential and honestly in the future if I see him there I'm going to have to turn around as to not put my friends through that experience again. Please don't let this person interact with the public or represent your establishment, he is horrible.
